ROTOMAXX II

The Rotomaxx II stands alone as the market's exclusive all-stainless steel, low-speed, high-capacity agitator, engineered with a low-shear, high-torque design and a right angle configuration for optimal performance.

Specially crafted to meet the expansive needs of the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food sectors, this durable agitator features a meticulously designed right angle helical bevel gearbox. It thrives in the most intense operational conditions, seamlessly adhering to rigorous CIP, washdown, pressure washing, and steam cleaning standards essential for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and efficiency.

The principle of operation for the Rotomaxx II is similar to the Rotomixx portable mixer and other top-entry agitators whereby a motor provides power to drive a shaft, and a bearing frame provides support for the motor, coupling and shaft. At the end of the shaft there is a device for pumping fluid, typically an impeller consisting of 3 blades attached to a central hub. The combination of the speed of the shaft rotation and the orientation and type of blades pump the fluid or liquid into which the impeller is immersed.

Built for durability, the modular design allows for multiple shaft diameter, gear ratio, and motor horsepower combinations with flex couplings between the motor/gearbox and gearbox/drive shaft to protect the gear drive from shock loads and dampen vibrations while isolating shaft bending moment and deflection loads from the torque loads on the gearbox.

The mixing impeller is the heart of the Rotomaxx II agitator and its high flow and rapid mix times. Standard Rotomaxx II units use our Jetfoil™ impeller, providing superior axial pumping rates with minimal power usage.

As a rule of thumb, the Jetfoil provides 200% greater pumping rate over conventional axial blade impellers.
