HOW IT WORKS

The Optifeed™ CX harnesses the power of an advanced powder suction pump, seamlessly vacuum conveying anywhere from 3 to over 200 pounds per minute of any powder or solid material.

When dealing with materials that seamlessly dissolve or suspend, the Optifeed™ system effortlessly directs the discharge to the subsequent phase of your operation. For those instances where materials demand a higher level of processing to achieve optimal dispersion, deagglomeration, or emulsification, the solution is at hand with our innovative approach. Materials can undergo a reprocessing cycle in a batch tank equipped with a state-of-the-art in-tank high shear mixer. Alternatively, for a streamlined process bypassing the need for a batch mixer, materials can be expertly treated through a Dynashear or Boston Shearmill, ensuring in-line high shear mixing is conducted with precision and efficiency. This adaptability underscores our commitment to providing supportive and trustworthy solutions tailored to enhance your operational flow and elevate your production capabilities.

Basic Rules for Use

  • Maximum viscosity before or after ingredient introduction is 2500 cps.
  • Maximum allowable head on discharge side is 10 psi. If head loss exceeds recommended levels, a booster pump on the discharge piping should be installed.
  • Minimum incoming flow rate for the system is 35 GPM.

It's crucial for users of powder induction equipment to understand a key point: Achieving precise control over the volume of entrained material and its immediate proportion to the carrying liquid presents a significant challenge. Typically, powder induction systems are integrated within a batch mixing process, serving as a strategic approach to ensure the accuracy of your desired recipes.
